Hello, my name is Dederrian “Tay” Williams &  when it comes to football, it’s more than just a game to me, it’s my positive distraction. I was neglected as a young kid by my birth mother & my father has spent over 80% of my life in prison. My aunt & Uncle adopted me of whom I refer to as my mom/Dad. Growing up watching my Uncle Edgerrin James on tv, I knew football ran deep. I battled with finding my identity for years but the one thing that connected me to my birth family, was football. Football has taught me how to fight through adversity(injuries, losing records), commitment, dedication, passion for what I do, & brotherhood. Those guys that I’ve had pleasure of playing with taught me that no matter where you come from, whether you know it or not, everyone is given a fair chance to showcase their skills and passion on the field. Everyday I strive to be a better teammate for them, my community, & even moreso to my mom/Dad for giving me a second chance on life.
