Personal Statement
My greatest accomplishments this past year in football was making the 6A Florida State Playoffs and being recognized for making second team all state as a junior. During my first year on varsity as a sophomore we finished the season with a 3-7 record. My underclassmen teammates and I wanted to flip the program around and set a goal of making the playoffs next season. It wasn’t easy, but with the hard work and dedication we put in, my team ended up making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years with a 7-3 record. This experience helped me recognize the traits that are prominent in a successful team. I intend to make the playoffs again next year as a senior.
Being a tri-sport athlete (playing football, basketball, and track) has really conditioned me and developed my skills on and off the field. I’ve learned how to compete on a higher level and lead in more than just one sport. In addition to the commitment with my sports teams, I’ve managed to maintain a 3.6 (4.1 weighted) GPA. I believe I have the athletic ability, academic aptitude, and leadership skills that will make a difference on any team I play for.
