Personal Statement
I'm Wayne Johnson, 5'10 175 lbs. I have played Varsity Football and have been a starter for 3 years. I made First Team All-Region 2 years (Jr and Sr). My most important accomplishment was being selected to play in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All- Star game December 30, 2011. These are the top Senior in the state of Georgia. I started in this game, which was a great way to end my senior year as an All-Star player was great. Also, it was an honor to be selected as a "Rising Senior" in the State to participate in the AT&T Jr. Bowl on January 8, 2011. That was a huge accomplishment for me. The players selected were the top 90 Juniors in the State of Georgia. The program "Rising Seniors" taught us personal development through a week long program. We also learned about giving back to the community, which is what I believe in strongly is community service. Every since I was a little kid, my mom instilled in me to always give back and do some type of volunteering. I also am proud that as a freshman, I was on the Varsity travel team and started in a couple of games. I feel, I am a dedicated and hard worker when it comes to football. I am a leader who enjoys being with my teammates and getting them "fired up" when our backs are against the wall. I don't have a preference as to where or what type of college I attend; Geographically, I am open to the US. My family is very important to me and they will support my decision to leave the state. I consider myself a student-athlete that is interested in getting a great education. I play multiple sports (football, basketball and baseball). Being a versatile athlete is a positive attribute I have and think that a coach would like on his team. My dream is to play college football and make an impact on the team and the community. I want to pursue a degree in Veterinary Science or Astronomy. My plans are to graduate from undergrad and go to Vet School to become a Veterinarian. My favorite subjects in school are Science and History. My family has a need for financial assistance and we will have to rely on financial aid/grants, loans and/or scholarships for me to pursue my education.
