In my opinion football is just as much of a mental game as it is physical. Not only should one must have their body in shape and ready for the demand of the season, but the mind of the athlete must be ready. In my opinion I play my best ball games when I am able to focus my mind on it. Having my mind in shape is imperative as it limits the amount of mental errors I have in a game.
I was born August 22, 1997 because of this I played my first game of my senior year at the age of 16. Knowing that I am younger than most does not faze me, it motivates me. It makes me push my self harder in the weight room, the class room, and especially during practice and games. By pushing myself like this I am more prepared for the challenges that may be thrown my way in any situation.
I am currently 6'1 195 pounds, but I still have more growing to do and am doing everything I am able to get bigger. Strength wise I have been able to improve on a consistent basis for a while now. I had a big increase in my max on all core lifts between December of 2013 and March of 2014. I am currently maxing out at 250lbs. on bench and 325lbs. on sqaut, with both going up at a good rate.
I currently start at left tackle on offense, defensive tackle, am on the punt block/return, as well as field goal block and field goal. I am more than willing to move to any position, and will try my hardest no matter what I play. My junior season at Defensive Tackle I made the all region team as well as the all area team. This year my goal is to make it to the All- State team.
I have been playing football since I was 9 years old. I have also thrown shot put and discus in track since the tenth grade. Once I graduate high school I plan to get a degree in physical therapy,
