My name is Rodney Williams. I am a 12th grade Atlanta native who plays football at Rockdale County High School. I plan to be one of the best athletes to ever play the game of football. I realize that hard work beats talent, and I am willing to work hard to be the best of the best. While I am passionate about football, I am a student-athlete first and foremost. I view education as a vehicle to enhanced knowledge, career advancement, and good character. I plan to work hard to earn a full scholarship to a tier-one university where I will major in Business Management and further develop my football talents.
What Motivates Me: In all that I do, I aim for nothing less than the best. I do not want to be like any other NFL star. I want to be THE BEST and that is what keeps me moving. For me, football is not about size or skill. It’s all about how much heart you have, continual growth, and willingness to sacrifice for the benefit of the team. I will not let down my coaches, my team, or my family, and I refuse to let myself down. My senior year will NOT be the last year I play football. I plan to make a huge impact on whatever school I attend; both on and off the field. I plan to maintain a 3.0 college GPA while playing my heart out on the field and serving as a leader and role model to my team members.
My Daily Quote: “A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done.” -Vince Lombardi
