I am a student/athlete; meaning student firstly. I use academia to improve and strengthen my mind and athletics to train, condition, and improve my body and spirit. I have and continue to work hard to improve upon both the mind and body as they co-exists and are interdependent of the other. I bring to the team and school that invests their time and money in me with good returns. I will always remain loyal and true to my team family and to my school. I will give 100% of my time and energy into making myself a better person and to becoming a productive and influential member of our society. My goal is to always give and perform my best whether it be in the classroom, the weight room, or on the field. I will conduct all my actions in a just and dignified manner. I will be loyal to the team and circumscribe myself to my team and to my school. All I ask at this point is the opportunity to make good on these words I have wrote beforehand.
Sincerely,
D'Vaughn Houssel
