Personal Statement
I spent my first three years playing for Glades Central High School in Belle Glade where I was starting quarterback, kicker and Punter and voted captain as a sophomore. I played against teams like Booker T Washington, Miami Jackson, Miami Central, Dwyer and Pahokee, and won 3 Muck Bowls to name a few. I also held a multitude of honors in South Florida which you can see on my resume’ attached in my profile. There you will see things that include being a finalist for the Lou Groza 2 years in a row, winning the Muck Bowl Highest GPA for 3 years as well as being named all area and all conference for several years. I wrote a grant for my school won the "Gear up for Grants" and won $2500 and contact lenses for my school and football team. I founded a program in Belle Glade "Bikes for Belle Glade" where I collected used bikes for underprivileged kids in the community.
As a senior I moved to Georgia where I entered the toughest county for football "Gwinnett County". I competed against 3 quarterbacks and 9 kickers and punters and won all three starting spots. Giving Dacula High School there best season ever in the largest division 6A for Public schools and a great run for the state championship. I played against teams like Colquitt, Collins Hill, Grayson, Archer, Peachtree Ridge, Mill Creek to name a few. I was also voted all area and on the watch list for Gwinnett County being selected as an all-star for the Gwinnett County All-star game. I am currently a senior, 6' 2", 198 lbs. holding a 3.9 GPA and a 4 year varsity starter and a triple treat QB/K/P.
I am a fierce competitor and leader and believe the best way to lead is by example. Having been selected as captain by my teammates as a sophomore I learned to earn peoples respect and their trust even when young then them. I believe a quarterback should be more than a player on the field but a person who should role model what the team represents on an off the field in and out of the classroom. I have learned to motivate, inspire and lead my team to victories and become stronger from our defeats. I have spent many years in the classroom learning the game of football and can run any offense under center or shotgun. I consider myself a student of the game and I challenge myself everyday to get better, for I believe you never are where you can be. I love and believe in this sport and aspire to one day coach in college or the NFL.
