Taylor Thornton '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Taylor Thornton,  and I am currently a Senior Offensive Lineman at Chapel Hill High School.  I have filled all positions on the OL, although I specialize as a center or guard,  depending on where my coaches need me.  I have started on Varsity for two years,  but I have been on Varsity all 4 years.  I currently have a 3.36 GPA in All-Advanced classes. I have an ACT Composite Score of 25,  SAT score of 1180, and I am scheduled to take each 1 more time. 

I have a very strong determination and even stronger work ethic as my Freshman year I battled a flesh eating bacteria that nearly cost me my leg.  As an example of my work ethic,  I attended Marine Corps Basic Leadership Training at MCRD Parris Island and am a member of my school's NJROTC.  I am also an active member of FCA and the National Society of High School Scholars.  I have been nominated as a 2016-2017 Positive Athlete by my head coach with Positive Athlete GA Program.  I also was invited to play in the NW Georgia All-Star Bowl this December.  

I am looking for a school that is willing to invest in me as a student athlete.  I am searching for a challenge,  and I am working towards a bright future and successful career.  I am very focused and believe I have what it takes to play at the next level.
