Personal Statement
I am a football player from Grovetown Georgia, Class of 2018. I am a military brat. My dad retired after 28 years in the Army as a Brigade Command Sergeant Major. My Mom has worked as an IT Supervisor for the Department of Defense for 18 years. I would consider myself a discipline person on and off the field. I am 6' 1" 225 lbs.
I am a Captain of my Varsity 6A football team. I am also the returning starting varsity football player at strong side linebacker. With our defensive scheme, I was often required to play out in space as the Will linebacker, while sometimes covering a TE or RB. I led the Region LBs in tackles and County overall in tackles, with 108 on the season. Selected 2ND Team All-Region 3-AAAAAA, 2nd Team Georgia All Area, 1st Team All-Columbia County.
I am a two-time selectee for the USA Football International Team. I was selected to participate in the CSRA All-Star Bowl Game. I am a third year Varsity member of the Wrestling Team. I was region champion with a 46-5 record. I placed 3rd in state at the 220lbs weight class
My collegiate goals are to play at the next level and earn a college degree. My aspirations is to play football but also call myself a student athlete and be the best I can be in the classroom which is my number one priority. I currently have a 3.93 CORE GPA, 22 ACT, A/B Honor Roll and a member of the National Honor Society. I love to get after it in the classroom. It provides me with a sense of accomplishment, which I will continue to strive for. I try daily to be the best person I can be on and off the field. I think what makes me a good candidate for a college football program is that I am very outgoing and very fun to be around. But I also know when it’s time to be serious, like in the weight room during our off season program which I take very seriously. I love the game of football, more importantly I enjoy the daily grind and competition. I will be a leader from day one, once I step foot on campus as a young student athlete. I think what sets me apart from other recruits is that I am willing to do whatever it takes to be the best that I can be. I take pride in that. I get that drive from my parents.
