My name is Tyler Browning and I have played Varsity football (WR, SS, KR, PR and occassional QB) and baseball (CF, LF, SS, 2B, P) at Loganville Christian Academy since my freshman year, in addition to Junior Varsity basketball. I am currently 5’ 10”, 170 pounds; running the 40 yard dash in 4.62 seconds and I have a 31 inch vertical jump. During my freshman year I was chosen for the All- County Varsity football team. I was also named to the team during my sophomore and junior seasons and I am the only athlete in the county named to the team for 3 straight years. Throughout my 3 years in Varsity football, I have been awarded numerous awards including Christian Character, Coaches' and Golden Lion Leadership Award.I was named to the All-State team and led my team in receiving yards for the third straight year. I was also elected Captain of my team.
I have also been a leader off the field, having earned a 3.83 GPA, served as President of the National Junior Beta Club and served as Secretary of the Sophomore Student Council. I have done volunteer work with the Omega Trail as well as with Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child.
I have always wanted to play college sports since I was little and even used to dress up in team attire, including full pads on game day. Whatever sport I am playing, even if it is just for fun, I go 110%. I began visiting several schools during my freshman year and have several other visits planned for this school year. I am beginning to narrow down where I would like to play; however, I am still keeping my options open. At this point, I am willing to consider any school where I’d have the opportunity to play and learn more about the game of football. I believe one of my strengths as a player is that I have always been known as a team player with a coachable attitude; I have been willing to play wherever the team has needed me—offense, defense and special teams. As evidence of that ability, I have been awarded the Coaches' Award and the Christian Character Award during several seasons of high school sports. I believe that trait will serve me well in collegiate athletics. I believe in myself and I KNOW I can play this game at the next level.
