Personal Statement
I have been playing football since I was in the fourth grade. When I first stepped on the field, I have always tried to be the best at my position. Growing up in a single parent household thought me how to work hard and fight for the things I wanted most. As a young child my mother instilled a lot of values in me such as teaching me what it really meant to do things to my full potential; simple lessons like these have stuck with me for my whole life. In my younger years I never really thought about college football. I enjoyed football but I also played baseball, dabbled in wrestling and was a star track athlete competing in several track meets and relays in the Washington Area. During my freshman year in High School I realized that football was my real passion.
High School football has really been a great experience and lots of fun for me. As a senior this year I knew that I had to become a leader and the only way to do that was for me to take charge on the field and help my teammates. I mentored the younger players and led the team to our third semifinal state playoff game with 250 rushing yards and 5 TD’s in the first round of playoffs. I was recognized as offensive player of the game three times this season and also was recognized as the overall player of the game twice.
Academics will also be a big part of my college decision but for the moment until I find out where I want to go I will keep working on my craft to get bigger, faster, and stronger. My ultimate goal is attending a college where I can push myself academically and also push myself on the football field. I am open to all options I am a very coachable player and I am willing to put in 110% in everything I do.
