Walker Tharpe '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’1”, 210 lb, high school Junior who has started on the Varsity football team since Freshman year.  Football has taught me life skills such as commitment, sacrifice, and teamwork.  I have played in several different positions during my high school years such as h-back, tight end, long snapper, defensive end, and linebacker which attest’s to my flexibility and willingness to learn new things. 

I am looking for a program that places a high value on academics as well as athletics and will guide me to my dreams, both on and off the field. My determination is my greatest characteristic. I will get the job done. I am extremely coachable, and I will play wherever my coach feels is the best fit for the team. I believe I have the character, work ethic, and leadership skills to benefit a college football program.
