Personal Statement

My name is Antonio Trapp from Tyrone, Georgia and I am looking forward  to becoming a collegiate student-athlete in 2016. I play on my high school's varsity football team and I consider myself an intelligent, hard-hitting, and hard working player. I have fun playing football and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to play a game I love. As a 2 year varsity starter,  I am a defensive back with the ability to play safety, cornerback and kick return.  I also play on 3 out of 4 special teams and I love it!  As a sophomore, I was able to letter in football, wrestling and track.
As a student, I completed my junior  a 3.4  cumulative GPA.  Other than football, track, and wrestling, my extracurricular activities consist of the Math Team, Spanish Club, and Chorus. My best subject  currently is Literature, although my favorite subject is AP Environmental Science. My academic interest  in college will be Music with a minor in Spanish. Ultimately, I plan to attend Law School to become a Patent & Trademark attorney.
One of the reasons I love football is because it is a team sport that gives me a chance to have the brothers that I never had at home. I have always been the shortest player on the team  until I grew about  4 or 5 inches in the 9th grade. Because of my size, I have always had to be faster, smarter and tougher than the bigger guys on my teams. As a result, I have developed a high football I.Q., a very good work ethic, and a no fear approach to playing the game. I consider myself a leader on and off the field. With these qualities, I know I will be a good candidate for competitive college team.
My goal is to continue playing football at the professional level and then  retire into a field that I love,  such as law or coaching.
Please take a look at my statistics and videos and I hope that you will be able to see me play this year.
I would love to meet you and talk about the possibility of being a part of your team in fall of 2016. If there is anything I can do to help you decide whether I might be a good fit for your program, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I will follow up with you soon by phone or e-mail and if you have any further questions, I look forward to answering them for you.
Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing back and contacting you via phone or e-mail very soon.
