Personal Statement
Over the past three years I have earned three varsity football letters at the Lovett School. I have been fortunate enough to play on a recent State Championship team: 2013 AA Lovett Varsity Football Our 2013 football team won its first State Championship since 1970. This year I started at outside linebacker, and long snapper. I led the team in tackles, tackles for loss, I was second in sacks, and led the team in turnovers. Playing football has always been my passion and I am working hard with the dream of playing football beyond high school.I love the game of football and will be willing to do whatever it takes to continue my career past high school.
When I am not working on football, I participate in a weekly Bible Study, concentrate on my academics, and work sports and games camps during the summer.
I bring a high level of intensity and a hard work ethic to my team, on and off the field. I enjoy being a student of the game, analyzing film and learning from any mistakes. Football builds character and emphasizes team work. It gives one the opportunity to humbly win or respectfully loose.
I envision college football as a huge opportunity that I cannot let slip away. I am also searching for a school that will challenge me academically and allows me to reach my fullest potential. Personally, I look forward to play on a team that fosters strong bonds between coaches and players. As far as my athletic goals, I am comfortable playing any position and aim to contribute to the team as soon as possible. Wherever I go I plan to be a success honorably representing my coaches, team and institution.
