Personal Statement
My big brother paved the way for me to develop the passion I have for competing. I watched him play football and baseball, and imitated him until I could play. My dad was a college football player, and taught us how to block and long snap before we could tie our own shoes! I began playing for the fun, but have learned many other life lessons. Athletics has helped me to be better physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have faced tough times, but believe it’s not being knocked down that defines you, but how you respond. I strive to be the best person I can be in all aspects of my life.
I understand that playing football ends someday. My priority in college is to get my degree which will be necessary to help me accomplish my future goals. I would love to do that and play the game I love at the same time. “Dedicated” is the one word I would say best describes me. I would love to dedicate the next four years to helping your program reach its athletic and academic goals. Thanks for your consideration.
