Personal Statement

Collegiate goals and aspirations:

As a individual who is interested in anatomy and physiology I am looking to pursue a Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine, focusing mainly on athletic training. I aspire to become a professional football player and am prepared to go through all lengths to attain this goal.
Why am I a good candidate for your team?

I have worked very hard to become a determined athlete in my current high school setting. I have self-management skills that allow me to both succeed as a student and balance sports. I currently participate in three sports while also acquiring the proper tutoring I need when I run into difficulties understanding material in the classroom. I understand maintaining good academics is essential to a successful college experience.  I am also determined to build my skills as an athlete as well. I observe and listen to advice given to me and ensure it is factored into the knowledge I have already gathered working with Walnut Grove. Among balancing sports and academics I spend my free time working with a personal trainer to better hone the skills I need improvement on.  I am a natural leader and enjoy working with others as a unit. I am self motivated while also ensuring my teammates are motivated as well. I can adapt to any environment and excel under pressure.
What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?

Unlike many of my peers I understand the importance of academics. I assure that my academics are managed and any struggles I encounter are addressed properly with tutoring and studying. In addition, I have overcome several obstacles in becoming an exceptional athlete that most of my teammates have not experienced. I started with no knowledge of the game of football but was determined to learn everything I could. I have overcame the hurdles of establishing a healthy body weight and strength training. I also believe in the importance of comradery and working well as a team on and off the field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
