My dream of playing college football has been a goal of mine since I began recreation football. It will be the next step to my ultimate goal of playing in the NFL. I will be disciplined and take the necessary steps to achieve that goal. I love criticism and learning new skills to improve myself and become a better player.I trust and respect the guidance of my coaches. It's because of their leadership and mentoring that I am the player I am today.
Currently, I play defensive end and defensive tackle. I maxed in bench press 225 with 4 reps and max squat 405 with 2 reps. My 300 yard shuttle time is 30.51 and my 40 yard time is a 4.79 -4.8. In 9th grade i started JV and had a chance to dress out varsity, and now in 10th grade I started JV and was 3rd stream varsity. Having the opportunity to play alongside good players was a early learning experience . Although, i had a little play time, it never stopped me from grinding my hardest and showing my potential to my coaches. As a result of my hard work, I'm projected to start this season. I see myself different from other recruits. I push through struggle and I'm able preform ten times better. I love doing what i do; pain, blood, sweat, tears, discipline, and earning respect is all worth it!
Coach explains that school is always first, even before football. My academics are strong. Being a competitive student is just as important to me as the game. I've struggled in some areas and I'm consistently working toward improvement. My future relies on my academics and I'm determined to press toward my goal of academic excellence. I'm glad to have this opportunity to share who I am. I'm looking forward to my future in college and on the field.
