My collegiate goals are to earn a degree in Sports Management, and play football, as I aspire to be a coach one day, and these goals achieved will help me pursue my dream.
My competitiveness and loyalty make me a good candidate your team.
What makes me different from other recruits athletically is the fact that I am flexible, which allows me to drive defensive players off the ball. I also have great footwork and speed that help me protect in the passing game and block in the running game. I'm also smart and know when to make adjustments quickly to pick up blitzes and/or help my teammates. I'm also aware that I have a lot more to learn and open to critiques and coaching. My willingness to learn more and ability to take new information and make adjustments quickly, or just change altogether make me easy to work with. Being tough allows me to accept when I'm doing something wrong and do whatever it takes to get it corrected and get the job done. When running backs tell me they love to run behind me, I know I did well. When by every 2nd quarter the other team is double and triple teaming their coverage on me, I know I did well. When a quarter back tells me he feels safer when I'm on the field, I know I did well. My goal at the end of each game is to walk off knowing I didn't just do my best, I got the job done!
My character speaks for itself...While my parents would suggest that I transfer schools every year, they let me decide. I'm glad that I stayed loyal and dedicated to the team I chose, and in the end was recognized for all my efforts. All that hard work, even while on a losing team for 4 years, led me to become the player of the week, be featured in the local newspaper, and also be picked to play in the Georgia North West IV Senior Bowl all regional game.
Academically, I challenged myself and took several AP courses during high school. I worked hard, learned a lot, and did my best. I can now take what I've learned to the next level to achieve my goal of mastering both sports management and business courses to become a great coach someday.
