Personal Statement
All of my life I have been surrounded by professional and athletic people, from family to close family friends. I have always naturally been attracted to sports as far back as I can remember. My father was a professional player in the NBA and passed away when I was eleven years old. Even before his passing he and my mother would say they saw my “natural ability” when I was training or working out. I’m not one that has to be pushed to be my best, I just feel like it’s in my blood to be the best I can be academically and athletically. So whether I make it to the NFL NBA or any professional area I have no doubt I will become a successful asset to society.
Through years and years of playing sports, I had my first major injury in my seventh grade year two days before our spring game when I broke my hand. Not only could I not play in the spring game but I missed out on most of that summer’s AAU Basketball season. I was hurt that I couldn’t go out and help my team. That experience helped me realize just how much I loved sports. Throughout much of middle school I would finish with honor roll and into high school I have averaged around a 3.5 GPA hoping to raise that. Throughout all of my life I have played football, basketball, and soccer. I’ve had to deal with things my friends haven’t but I’m still able to go and adapt to any situation that I’ve been in easily along with being a great teammate.
