Personal Statement
I am a student athlete with a cumulative 3.1 GPA. I see a lot of good happening in my future. I will be a senior next year @ Winder Barrow High School (Winder, GA). I am a multi-sport athlete playing football, basketball, track & field, and also plan to play both at the D-1 Level. In other, I hope to play either one at the professional level. I possess the ability on the field to play on both sides of the ball as well as return punts. I have the ability to see the whole field and the knowledge to direct my team at critical times. I am a player with the skills to develop into a solid starter at the major college level with the potential and the ability to compete for early playing time as a freshmen and making a significant impact during my college career.
Academics are the fuel that motivates me to pursue my love of football. I find that it is important to be mentally tough, because football is as much mental as it is physical. My academic interest makes me a more balanced player both on and off the field. Coaching has been a cornerstone of my success. I am very open to feedback and views it as a gift. One thing I have learned from coaching is that coaches can make an athlete become better by just telling them what to do. A real coach knows how to inspire and motivate his team and brings out leadership among players.
~~The quote that best describes my attitude and leadership style is from Lou Holtz. It read “Your talent determines what you can do. Your motivation determines how much you are willing to do. Your attitude determines how well you do it.” Coach – Lou Holtz (*1937; former American football coach)
