Football was the first sport I ever played. Although I have tried other sports none of them stuck to me like football has. After my season in 5th grade, I took a break from football until my family ended up moving to Hawaii for military purposes and I started playing again in 8th grade. I then played for Pearl City High School in my freshman year. Sadly, covid ended up cancelling football for my sophomore year. Over the massive gap between seasons, I decided to stay in shape by lifting and running to try to make this comeback season a great one for me.
When football came back, we only had a couple months of practice before our season was postponed yet again. During the weeks until we could practice again, I kept doing physical activities to prevent myself from getting out of shape just before our season could finally start up. The season ended up with us breaking history for our school's varsity team by beating a team that our team hasn't beaten in years and winning the homecoming game.
Once I finish high school, my goal is to go to a college where they have good engineering programs and play for the college's football team as well. The engineering program is important to me because I wish to enter the field of engineering once I finish college.
While there may always be other people out there who are better than I am, I won't let that discourage me from striving for my goals. My perseverance to get past any mental obstacles is one of my most valuable traits on and off the field.
