Jeremy Tabuyo '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jeremy Tabuyo and I live in Honolulu Hawaii. I'm a sophomore at Saint louis School, a private all boys catholic school which is well known in the state for it's football program. I started playing sports at the age of 9 begining with soccer. I still play soccer and was a starter on the varsity team as a freshman in 2009. Because I was pretty fast, my dad decided to have me give track a try. At age 11 I entered my first track meet and did really well. I have since won many races and medals and in 2008 qualifed in the 200m dash for an all expense paid trip to Hershey, PA. to compete in the Hershey's Track & Field North American Final. I ran varsity track as a freshman and did very well, qualifying for the finals in league as well as the state championship meets. I took 2nd place in the league final for the 100m and was voted 2nd team league all-star for the 100m. My best 100m dash time was 10.98 electronic. I also compete in the 200m, 400m, long jump, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay. At age 12 I played my first season of Pop Warner football. In 2007 I was a member of the state championship team and scored the winning TD in the championship game to cap off an 11-0 undefeated season. Since then I've played every skill position on offense, defense & special teams and have been a starter for all four years (3 yrs. Pop Warner/1 yr. JV). I like playing offense the best and my primary position is WR. I had a really good freshman season on the JV team in 2009 and played WR, KR & PR. I'm currently on the varsity team and our season has just started (8/10). During the second game of the season, my very first reception as a varsity player was a 45 yard TD. I'm working hard in practice and competing for playing time with the juniors and seniors. Update: We finished the season as state champions with an 11-1 record. I didn't start but the coaches worked me into the rotation with the starting seniors. The high light for me was when I scored on a 79 yard TD reception in the championship game. Of the three sports, football is my favorite. A dream and goal of mine would be to play college football while furthering my education. I know I'm only a sophomore and have a long way to go, but if I continue to work hard in the classroom and on the field, while staying focused on my goals then I should be in a good position when I become a senior to continue my education and athletic career at the college level.
