Personal Statement
"Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming."-John Wooden
As a quarterback, I have learned that it isn't about how many touchdown passes you throw or how many yards you gain, but it's about the team and it's about putting myself out on the line for the team. As the starting quarterback for three years now, adversity has become my best friend, and with adversity comes failure. But it’s not about the failure, it’s what you do after all you have is taken from you, that's the real success, what I did after my failures is what really mattered. I have a relentless work ethic unmatched by my peers, I refuse to be out worked, I leave no rock unturned, but most of all I have learned that in order to succeed I must fail countless amount of times. This work ethic does not only count on the football field, but it carries on to the classroom, and also in the community. I am an avid volunteer of Special Olympics events and community service projects. I intend on majoring in math and applied sciences.
