Personal Statement
Entering into a small football program, I was forced to preform upon arrival. Becoming starting cornerback my freshman year, there was no traditional learning from watching the upperclassmen. I learned from every moment of play and adapted. Teaching me game time skills that no level of coaching could have done. Now starting on three sides of the ball and rarely stepping on the sidelines, I no longer understand now not to give 100% while on and off the field. I understand the full concept of being a student athlete and how academics must come first. I plan on getting my degree in Athletic Training and continuing my connection with sports after college through my degree.
