Personal Statement
My name is Alex Beltrame I am a senior at Johnston high school, in Johnston Iowa. I am a 6' 2", 240 starting offensive guard. I started playing football in 6th grade and that is when I found out what my true passion is. As a junior I was a full starter for the 2013 Johnston Dragons. Football is a sport that requires dedication and discipline, I act on those characteristics by training 5 days a week in the off season, and 6 days in the summer. To me there is no greater feeling than working out and playing with people I know will lay it all on the line for me, just as I would do for them. In regards to academics, I had a rough start freshman year and didn't get off to a good start. Now that I understand that academics are just as important if not more important than athletics, it drives me to push myself in the classroom. In my spare time I volunteer as a youth football coach, fish, and hangout with friends. Football is a sport that requires dedication, discipline, hard work ethic, focus and intensity. My goal is to bring these qualities to college football.
