Derek Morales '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Derek Morales. I am going to be a Junior and I go to Pekin Community High School. I am 6'0 260 and I love to play football. I am a four season athlete but I have been training all year around for football. I was one of the first in my class to get into the weight room and I have been devoted to staying with lifting in my off seasons since 8th grade. I have motivated my other teammates to start lifting with me in the off season and convinced them that this hard work will pay off. We will win a state championship this year, and we are not taking no for an answer. I can offer a team great leadership, just as I have shown on my high school team, which I still have two years to be with. I am self determined and very competitive. The first time I stepped onto a football field, I knew that I was going to be playing it for a future somewhere. It would mean the world to me if I could play on a D1 college team. I will put all my heart into it and I won't back down from any obstacles that are in my way to achieving my goal, such as financial needs. My dad is a hard worker and is already helping my sister pay for college. I told him I would get a scholarship so he wouldn't have to worry about it. He has faith in me and believes that I will make it big. I want to thank all the coaches and scouts for taking the time to read a little bit about me and I hope can be a part of one of the many colleges in this country.
