Hi, my name is Luke Hyde. I started playing football when I was 7 years of age and I knew from the first time I suited up that I wanted to go to college and earn a degree while playing college football. I have a goal of earning a Football Scholarship and complete my degree in either Secondary Education or General Business.
At this point in my playing career, I have been fortunate to have been blessed with a large frame and the physical tools to excel on the field. I will have played varsity football for three years when I graduate from high school. This past year as a Junior at Emmett High School, I was selected All Conference First Team as a Line Backer and also All-State as a Line Backer as well. On the Offensive Side of the ball, I play Tight End and Long Snapper on Special Teams. My goal for next year as a Senior is, to win a state title and be named First Team All State at all three positions.
Recently, I have been working out with players that I had the opportunity to compete against during the season which have already committed to Division I Schools. I am happy with my progress in the areas speed, agility, strength, weight gain. I have increased my bench by 75 pounds, vertical to 35", and dead lift to 485, box jump to 50". My training involves specific lifts and drills to work on speed and explosion.
I take school very seriously and will work hard to be just as productive in the classroom as on the football field.
