Personal Statement

My name is Chris Randall. I  graduated from Pocatello High School, in Pocatello, Idaho.I was in the graduating class of 2012. I am 6 feet 2 inches tall and I weigh 190 pounds. I am very quick and have a lot of speed.  My coach says, I am a steady runner and can out run most players on the field. I am a very athletic person.I have been called a play maker in all sports. I play on the varsity football and basketball teams. I also run track. Football was introduced to me when I was the fourth grade, playing flag football. I played receiver and quarterback. I was named the offensive most valuable player for that year. In the sixth grade, I played football for the South East Idaho Football League. I played quarterback, receiver, corner, safety, kicker and punter. I played for the same team for three years. I was awarded best offensive player of the year for all three years. In the eighth grade, I was given the most extreme sports award at my junior high school. In high school, my sophomore year, I was able to play on the varsity teams for both basketball and football. My sophomore and freshmen year I was awarded the offensive award for both football and basketball. My junior year has been my best year for football thus far! On the roster, I was listed as utility! I was awarded outstanding receiver for Pocatello High School and was also awarded the Mr. Offense Simplot award, where my high school was awarded $100.00 for my efforts in football. I was also the Idaho State Journal Player of the week, where I had three rushing touchdowns, one throwing touchdown and one catching touchdown. I was chosen for the All Area 1st Team for football as a utility player. This year the regular quarterback for my team is hurt so I have been starting quarterback all year, but I prefer the Wide receiver position. I will also be playing defensive back, and Punter. My senior year I was awarded All area 4-a all conference offensive player of the year and also 4-a all conference Punter of the year.I started playing basketball when I was in the fourth grade. In sixth, seventh and eighth grade I played for the Black Knight traveling Team, where we took 1st place in most of the tournaments. I received Idaho State Journal player of the week for basketball, where I had twenty points for the game. I was awarded the Local Channel News 8, Red Robin player of the week for scoring the most points as well. I was listed as All-Area basketballl honorable mention. It has always been a dream of mine to go to college and play football. Some of the college locations that interest me are, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and Montana. I am open to any type of school. I am the first of all my family to want to go to college. My parents are my biggest fans and have helped me to reach my goals. They are committed to helping me as much as they can to get me to go to college even if we need financial aid. I have an amazing support system from all of my family. My desired major is Sports Medicine and Physical Theropy.  I want to continue my education and have others look up to me as a leader. My goals are to play football for a college and to the highest competition level possible, and further my education to the highest degree. I want to have people look up to me as an athlete and in an academic way as well. My goals for the future are to be an asset to the football team and further improve my skills! I accepted an scholarship to play basketball at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendelton, Oregon. This is my second year at BMCC, and on the men's basketball team. I am doing very well on the court, but have realized that I miss the football field. My grades are very good and I am currently on the Dean's list. I am also on the All Academic team. I am a team player, and respect everyone. I am a hard worker, and enjoy all aspects of the game.
