I am a 6 foot 3 inch 220 pound, Senior (2017) with a goal of earning my BS in either Biology or Business with a Minor focus in Information Technology. My dream is to play competitive football while attaining my degree. My football experience at Bartlett high school covers quite a few positions on both Offense and Defense.
My Freshman year was spent as a Running back, outside linebacker and on all Special teams including punting. Sophomore year I was moved to Tight End due to my size, strength and Speed. My special teams was consistent with my freshman year with the exception of punting. My freshman year off season was focused on Strength and Agility training along with playing on the High school Baseball team.
My sophomore year I played both sides of the ball as a DE and TE. My sophomore year off season was spent focusing on Strength, Speed and Agility training along with moving to the High school track team. My move to Track was to spend more time and energy preparing myself for football at the next level. My best physical attributes and goals Sophomore year were to improving in all area's of the classroom and football by raising my GPA and working to get closer to my senior year estimated Weight (240lbs), estimated strength (15 reps of 225lb) and improving my current speed (4.67 40yrd dash).
My Junior year at Bartlett I played both sides of the ball throughout the game. I currently play Strong side Defensive End. Most of my plays on Offense are as a TE in our double tight end set. The most valuable assets I bring to the team are pass rushing and defending the run along with blocking as a TE while offering great check down passing options for my QB. I improved my GPA, have reached 6'3/220 lbs/8 reps 225lb and improved my 40 yard dash time to 4.67.
My Senior year was spent playing both ways as a TE and moving from DE to DT to help our team. My speed on the Edge needed to be put on hold so we could stop teams from driving up the middle. At tight end my time was split between Slot and tight end most of the time. My college goal is to play the most competitive football possible at TE or DE/LB while getting my degree.
I am a versatile All Conference athlete, quick learner and a very coachable player who leads by example. My belief is that practice breeds success and effort is what men are judged by. I’m a team player and also understand that a team is made up of multiple individual responsibilities. My commitment is not to be my teams’ weak link on or off the field and lead by example. My academic goal is to maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average for the balance of my high school and college careers. After Graduation my goal is to leverage my degree to work in biology (Marine Biology if possible) or use my education to prepare myself to run an Information Technology company. My top priorities are Family, Education, Football and preparing for the next level of life.
