Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
My long term aspiration is to someday to have a college degree in the field of radiology. Football is my passion, however, I want to continue my life by helping others. As a professional in the field of radiology, I will help others with illness and injury everyday. Life after football will give me this greater option to give back to those that helped me along the way, including the college or university that may select me into their programs. I am keenly interested in a school that not only challenges me academically, but that can also guide me socially and physically through sports.
I am also very interested in attending a school with a truly competitive athletic program. I currently complete in one of the top high school football conferences in the nation (Chicago Catholic Blue). I love the daily challenges and pressure!
What makes you a good candidate for their team?--
I am tough, dynamic, and versatile at multiple positions on the football field. As a quick learner, I can bring a lot to a team!
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?--
I am very selfless and always put the successes of my team before myself. I am a tough competitor, yet always willing to show kindness and understanding to my teammates, coaches, fans, and opponents on and off the field of play. I have inherited many good social skills from my mom and dad who have taught me the meaning of treating others like I want to be treated. The most important people in my life are my parents and those who mentor me at Brother Rice High School Chicago.
Thank you,
Gregory A. Bernier
