Roderick Anderson '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Roderick H. Anderson Jr., from Chicago, Illinois. I am a student athlete interested in playing football at the college level. I have played football since I was 5 years old, on private peewee and Jr leagues until High school, as well as 7 on 7 leagues. I have been starting varsity for my high school, "South Shore International College Prep" team since freshman year. Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I am first and foremost an ATHLETE, ready to play where ever my team needs me. Officially I am a Wide Receiver, and Safety on my high school team, but I am called in to fulfill any position as needed from Quarterback to kicker. Although my school has only been open for 5 years, as a football program we have achieved several accomplishments as a team, including an undefeated season in 2014 and move ups in conferences. I have several personal accomplishments as well, such as, one of the leaders in tackles, and offensive receptions in my conference. I am very dedicated to the sport. I work out everyday focusing on strength, agility, coordination, and situational football. As a student, I have all honors classes 1 Advance Placement class and 1 International Baccalaureate class. I am also currently enrolled in a college level course at a local Jr. college through a program with Chicago Public Schools and City Colleges. I currently have a 3.68 GPA out of 5.0, and I am ranked in the top 20 percent of my class.
