What makes me "different" from other recruits? My answer starts with my priorities. Football is not my number one priority. My top priorities (in order) are my faith, my family, my education and my love for competition. It is my faith that helps get me through a game after three fumbles, and it is my faith that keeps me grounded after a six touchdown game. Both my parents work full time, providing me with a prime example as to the dedication and the effort it takes in order to be successful. My older brother Tyler has been extremely successful academically and I am reminded daily as to what it is I need to do in order to be successful in the classroom. Also, I am an all honors student who takes his education very seriously. My love for competition comes into play as I have been playing football since the first grade. I've had my ups and my downs as a player, but have never backed down from a challenge.
My primary collegiate goal is to get my degree. While I may be unsure as to what major I am looking for, the decision as to which school I attend will be based on education, and not football.
My coaches and my teammates would say that my leadership skills and my relationship skills with them are very strong. Being the team captain and quarterback, I take both the positive and the negative and I am able to learn from it.
