Doug Barkauski '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Doug Barkauski, and I am a senior and offensive captain of the Lincoln-Way East football team in Frankfort, Illinois. I have been playing football since I was seven years old and have always been a leader of my teammates. My position in the 2014 season is Right Guard, but I have also played Center in my high school career. Freshman and sophomore year I was the starting Center and captain of the offense. Besides football, I am a Mathlete and tutor. I tutor and help any of my teammates if they are struggling or failing in their classes. This translates on to the field as I have learned all offensive line positions and I will help any teammates adjust to any new o-line position.  I take as many honors or AP classes as possible, and I strive at exceeding my classmates in the classroom. On the field I lead by example and receive the utmost respect from all of my teammates. Not only do I push the limits of myself, but I push the limits of my teammates. I always work towards making the team better over anything else. I am a hardworking and determined student-athlete with a main goal of playing football throughout high school and college.
