Personal Statement
My name is Pace Temple. I play Wide Receiver and Cornerback for the Geneva Vikings. In my junior season I led my team in receiving and interceptions. I was voted MVP by my teammates. More importantly, I was honored by those same teammates to be elected as one of the team captains for next year.
Ever since I was a little boy I have loved sports and dreamed about making them a part of my life. As I grew up, that love and passion became stronger and my vision became clearer. I started to dream of playing college football. Today, that goal is a part of my everyday life. It is what drives me. I am constantly thinking about what my competitors are doing and push myself to out work them. I always look for ways to challenge myself, whether that's taking on the best competition I can find, or by setting personal goals for every workout. When I'm done playing football I want to leave a legacy behind that can push and inspire other kids with similar dreams. I want to be remembered as an incredibly hard worker, a fierce competitor, and a great teammate. If I can be those things, I believe the results will follow.
I believe to be the best you should try to surround yourself with the best. I have been blessed with incredible coaches and hope to put myself into a position where I can continue to be taught, challenged and inspired by the best at the next level. I believe people who share a passion and focus can accomplish great things. It is my goal to maximize the abilities I've been given and set myself on a life course where I can make a contribution and accomplish great things.
