Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember, football has been part of my life. This includes watching college football and attending Bears games. High School football and the “Friday Night Lights” atmosphere is a big part of my community and childhood. I started playing football when I was 7 years old. I played many sports including: baseball, hockey, basketball, track, lacrosse and wrestling but no other sport gave me the same thrill as football. My coaches have always described me as extremely coachable. I am a strong listener, follow directions, understand the importance of team rules and am a disciplined, diligent worker. Football has provided me with skills that I will use for the rest of my life including being a team player, exceeding expectations, the importance of having a game plan, following directions, and being a supportive team mate. It has also taught me to be responsible with my time, my studies, and my actions. I also take it upon myself to represent my school and my community positively on and off of the field. Outside of school and football I enjoy following the stock market, drawing, and playing the guitar.
