Personal Statement
My name is Frank Vosicky and I am currently a Senior at Montini Catholic High School. I have been playing football since fourth grade and am currently the starting center for the 4x defending 5a state champions. I am not like most football players. I struggle everyday with severe dyslexia. With this problem I have trouble with quick directions, like thinking left is right and right is left. It may have taken me a while but at this point in my life I believe that I have finally found a way to beat this problem. I have conquered it by wearing only my left glove and only taping my right wrist. This I believe will be what separates me from the rest of the athletes in my age group; most would just give up, not me! My dream has always been to play ball at the college level, no matter where its at. All my life people have told me that I'm too small for my position: I say its the size of your heart not the size of your legs. This is me, and I am a fighter trying to do the impossible.
With being diagnosed with a form of dyslexia in second grade I had the opportunity to learn many ways to overcome this large hurdle in my life. Never in a million years did I think I would be attending a college prep high school like Montini, but here I am today and telling you my story.
