Andrew Hiner '15 Recruiting Profile

My goal for college is to get my degree in dentistry, my dad is a dentist and it is a career that interests me. Both my parents graduated from Arkansas State University. My mom got her degree in teaching and my dad attended UMKC for his dental degree after graduating from ASU. I feel I would be a good candidate for a college team because I am driven, I'm hard working, and I'm committed to excellence. I've been selected on our teams leadership council by my coaches and teammates my Frosh-Senior year. I want to be great, not just good. I feel that being good is the biggest obstacle to being great. I currently have a 3.07 GPA, but am getting tutoring, and have set a personal goal to get to a 3.3 my next midterm. I've taken my ACT once and gotten a score of 23, but plan to retake it.
