My name is Ryan Mulhern and I am currently a redshirt freshmen Kicker/Punter at Western Illinois University. I am eligible to play for three more years and would like to transfer to a university that has an excellent business program in finance and management. After viewing my film, you will observe that I kick field goals, punts, and kick offs. My field goals are a running film from 40, 45, and 50 yards. I am a team player, passionate about football, and thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie and friendships I have made through playing football. My GPA is a 3.4 and am excited to begin taking more classes that pertain to my business major.
In high school, I was the Varsity Place Kicker/Punter for 8A Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois. As a freshman, I was moved up to the Varsity level and remained there throughout my h.s. football career. As a sophomore, I received the All-City award and as a senior made All Conference for the Upstate Eight, All Area by two separate Chicagoland newspapers, and All City. My kicking coach is Chris Nendick who kicked for NIU all four years and Chris Gould (Robbie Gould's brother) who kicked for University of Virginia. The coach who I worked the closest with all four years at Neuqua Valley is ex NFL player, J.R. Niklos and he has written a letter of recommendation for me. If I had to pick a few favorite highlights of kicking, it would be kicking a 42 yard field goal in one of my first games as a sophomore and the game winning field goal with eight seconds left to send us to the Semifinals in my senior year. My major in college is business with an emphasis in finance and management. My athletic goal is to play at the highest competitive level possible. I am very enthusiastic about my academics as I begin to prepare for my lifetime career. I also look forward to finding a good fit with a college where I can continue to use my kicking abilities, help lead my team to a championship year, and enjoy my passion for football.
