Personal Statement
When I was younger, I started playing baseball, and didn't have much of an interest in playing football. I started (much later than most of my peers) at the beginning of my 7th grade year playing youth league football. It didn't take me long to absolutely love the game. Now I cannot imagine NOT playing! My school has a saying, and that is "For One Another" and what that means to me is family. (or what I perceive it to be) We support each other, in our victories and in our failures.
Personally, I have several years of leadership experience after having been in boy scouts since I was 6. I am months away from achieving the Eagle Scout rank. At one point in my troop I was the senior patrol leader for over two years. My parents have raised me to see through all that I try, and that characteristic has made me a stronger person, and player.
At this point, I am looking forward to my senior year of high school, achieving my eagle scout rank, and of course, playing football. My aspirations for college are still undecided, but am leaning more towards sports medicine/sports training. I feel my strength of character comes from never giving up, and always giving 110% at all I do.
