Jared (J.J.) Frey '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6.1' athlete from Plainfield Illinois, as a senior I lead my team in tackles and help my defense be one of the best in Planfield North History. My team finished as runner up in the class 7A state finals and I was voted defensive player of the year!  During my junior and sophomore I started at LB and help my team get to the 7A division playoffs.  My freshmen year I played in a number of different positions and led the Plainfield North freshmen team to an undefeated season and conference championship.   Prior to my freshmen year I played in the TCYFL on a competitive travel football team. I had the opportunity to play among the best athletes in the area. In my final two seasons I led my team to back to back Big 10 Class AAA Premier Heavyweight Super Bowl Championships. I concluded my youth football by winning the Youth National Eastern Division Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

My short term goals are to help my team to a conference championship, and a 3rd straight playoff appearance.  Personal goals are to lead the team in tackles and earn an all conference and all area defensive player award.

My long term goals are to attend a university where I can develop and excel both as a student and as an athlete. I am interested in attending an institution that has a great academic reputation as well as an outstanding athletic program.
