My name is Jordan Zanger and Im a senior from Quincy, Illinois. I'm 5'09, 160 and i run a 4.7 40. Football has been a part of me my entire life. All three of my older brothers participated in football in high school and two of them went on to pursue college football. I felt it was right to follow in their foot steps and take football to the next level. I started both ways in high school playing quarterback on offense and safety on defense. I was a captain on my team and was looked at as a hard working, dedicated player in the eyes of my coaches. I received an All Conference Academic Award and I was also awarded with Most Improved Player. The high school I played for was more of a run based team. However, I finished the year 19 for 30, a 63% completion rating, 242 yards passing, and I threw for 2 touchdowns. I also rushed for 31 yards on 22 attempts with 1 rushing TD. On the defensive side of the ball I played safety with 20 solo tackles, 4 asisted tackles, 3 fumble recoveries and 1 interception. I hope to play quarterback in college with an offense similar to that of my high school's. I was complimented on many occasions, not only by players and coaches on my team, but by other teams coaches as well on my ability to carry out fakes and be allusive with the football. I want to go to school for physical therepy so I wish to attend a college with good pre physical therapy education, however, I am open to many different schools. I want to make an impact on whichever team I play for and I am willing to play at the highest competition level possible. I would prefer to red shirt my first year to learn the ropes of the offense or the defense and to get stronger and faster. Working hard is the name of the game for me and I will go above and beyond my expectations if it means success.
