Personal Statement
I am a 3 year varsity starter as well as a leader on my high school team as a junior. I lead by example through my work ethic and positive vocal leadership when necessary. I developed a love for the sport at a young age, playing in our local KYFL football league with my dad as a coach. I have made the commitment and trained to become the best student athlete I can be over the past few years. I have trained at the Beebe speed training academy, train at the House of Speed elite football position camps as well as follow a weekly strength, speed, agility and conditioning program throughout the year.
I am also a diligent hard working student athlete in the classroom as indicated by my current G.P.A.. As a teammate, I also believe in mentoring and being a solid supportive teammate. Over the past few years, I have had some coaching and mentoring from coaches who display a high level of professionalism and expertise in their training and approach to the game. I also believe in a proactive solid mental approach to the game. As a devoted student of the game, I pursue film study, technique study as well as pursue understanding other mental aspects of the game. My focus is on consistent personal improvement.
Finally, as a sincere benefit to me personally, I have devoted and supportive parents and family of four other siblings as a part of my foundation. I also have first-hand knowledge of the time, sacrifice, perseverance and commitment it takes to compete at the division 1 level after watching my brother compete over the last 4 years. Academically, I am going to pursue computer science and computer engineering. I believe my character, commitment, physical skills, leadership qualities, mental approach to the game and perseverance make me an excellent candidate to have a positive impact on your program.
