Personal Statement

Being part of the Montini Catholic Football program for the past 4 years and participating in the Illinois State Championship twice with the team as a freshman and sophomore has been the highlight of my high school career so far.  Losing the State Championship game in 2014 really motivated me to focus on becoming the best athlete I could be. The values of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership were all reinforced the year we came back from the State Championship without a trophy. In 2015, these values translated into results, as the team won the Illinois 6A State Championship in an unprecedented 13-0 season.  I was (and continue to be) part of an amazing program, that has a history of making the State Championship very consistently since 2004.  I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an significant impact on your program. As a two-sport all-state athlete (Football and Track) and High Honors student (3.81/4.0 unweighted GPA - 4.3/4.0 weighted), with honors classes, I know that I have what it takes to be a significant contributor for the right university, both on and off the field!

  • 5/17/15 to 5/17/15
  • NUC Sports Combine Testing The combine is for skill players, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, defensive backs, and linebackers. The combine is also for both defensive and offensive lineman where they have their own testing and competition. Quarterbacks will combine test and go through specific drills and one-on-one passing where they will be rated as a quarterback. One of the unique things about NUC combines is the fact that athletes only compete against other athletes in their grade. For example 9th graders go against 9th graders, 10th against 10th and 11th against 11th. Only in smaller camps can two grades be combined, but all athletes are evaluated based on their grade at all times. NUC 7 on 7 Air Raid Tournaments As part of the alliance, 11 NUC events will serve as qualifiers for the IMG7v7 National Championship held in June at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. With more than 100 events throughout the year, all NUC events will utilize the official NFA7v7 rule book. The NUC 7-on-7 Air Raid Tournaments provide a great platform for offensive and defensive skill position players to work on their game in a highly competitive non-contact environment. It is all passing, played on a 40-yard field plus end zone, and allows scoring both on the offense and defense.
