Personal Statement

Senior Season has come and now passed. I can honestly say that I am proud of the way my teammates and I played this year.

We were a team that shouldn't have made the playoffs, according to some. A team that should have been knocked out first round, according to others. In reality, we made it all the way to the semi-finals and shocked a bunch of teams on the way there.

Personally, I had my best season yet, finishing with a team leading 7 sacks, 51 tackles (25 solo), 7 hurries (first on the d-line) 3 forced fumbles (led the team), and 2 fumble recoveries (led the team).  I saw a double team or more every play, and I can honestly say I shut down the middle run in every game I played in.  The Coaches of the Catholic League Blue must have noticed, because I also was voted 1st Team All Conference for the first time in my career!

Academically, my High School Career started out pretty rough. But, I learned better ways to use my time, and new ways to study that have helped me hold a 3.4 GPA or higher for all of my Junior year, and for this Semester so far this year. I still plan on going to ACT prep courses, and taking another shot at that test as well.

I'm also looking forward to continuing my training with Starts up Front, to help me improve my knowledge and ability in my position.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
