Personal Statement
My name is Skylor Caruso and I am from central Illinois, I spent my elementary years at Rochester schools, and will graduate at the top percent of my class in 2018. Raised by my mother who works in Springfield schools and my father who is employed by the Secretary of State Police, I learned the importance of academic achievement as well as honesty, integrity and most of all the drive to finish.
Throughout my elementary years my academic interests included math and science, anything that could be useful in business. Entrepreneurial tv shows and realestate renovations attracted my attention as well as catching football whether college or professional. In regards to competing I raced 50cc quads when I was 7 years old, played basketball from 1st grade through the 7th, and also wrestled for a year, but I’ve always played football.
I have been told by coaches that I have natural leadership qualities and have great public speaking skills. I've started both sides of the football and know the responsibilities of every other position.
In high school, my plan is to take college credit courses to attract division 1 colleges. In college my plan is to pursue a business degree and major in a science or math to keep my job options very wide, while playing for a division one football program. My goal is get a degree and to stay in a field that keeps me connected with sports.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
