My goal after High School is to become the best student athlete I can be at the Division I level. I plan to play football and excel academically at the College level. My goal would be to be a contributing player in a winning organization with a top notch strength and conditioning program. I want to graduate knowing I played for a great program and at the same time it is imperative that I obtain a meaningful degree.
Things that allow me to stand out from others are my desire to excel and my passion for excellence. This passion was instilled in me at an early age and just continues to grow. I watched the dedication my Father had in his endeavors in and outside the gym. He taught me how hard work and a positive attitude breeds winning and success. He won several bodybuilding titles including MR. Indiana and MR. USA all while holding down a high level corporate position.
My commitment to excellence is second to none. In terms of my football success, I was only one of two underclassmen (I was a Sophomore) to start on a senior laden team that went undefeated in 2013 (the other player was our Junior Quarterback). This season, as a Junior, I was unanimously voted defensive conference MVP (199 tackle points). My commitment is seen in the fact I have no “OFF” time in terms of my football goals. Sadly, my 2014 football season ended on Friday night but I wasted no time getting back into the gym, setting my goals and pursuing my passion for excellence. I focus on what is important. In other words, if my training dictates I train on a Holiday, well I TRAIN…if I cannot get my training in at my regular time…I will train at midnight or whenever I have to in order to get it in…my goal is not to give 95 percent effort BUT 100 percent at all times! I have probably trained on every major Holiday for the past 3 years! Whatever it takes to be a better student /athlete…I DO! This is not rhetoric just a fact… I am wired this way and there is no stopping my commitment to excellence. This is what sets me apart from the rest. In addition, in the off season I train a lot of my football teammates …helping others achieve more than what they think is possible motivates me. Next year, as a Senior, I will lead my team and will not stop pushing my teammates until we stand victorious as STATE CHAMPS in 2015. Helping others and trying to make them better than me all while being a leader is something else that sets me apart from others.
