Briar Martindale '15 Recruiting Profile

In second grade i took my first steps onto the field, and ever since have been in love with the game of football.  Since that time I have dreamed of playing at the collegiate level.  As I grew older it was clear to me that my love of football could also assist me in getting a quality education.  My education comes before any sports, representing a true student-athlete.  The idea of playing college football and getting a quality education is so great to me, for very few will ever have this option.

Off the field I continually find ways to improve my skills for on the field.  I have been a team captain for varsity since my Sophomore year.  I am easy to coach, and love to learn anything anyone wants to teach.  My teammates look to me for leadership, and I am always there to provide it.  I am there to help for my teammates on and off the field as well.  I work very hard to be the best athlete that I can possibly be, and will always continue to strive to be the best recruit.

I am active in creating a greater presence in my community and school.  I am currently apart of the National Honors Society, and the club SADD.  School is very competitive for me, and I work very hard day in and out towards my academics.  Currently I posses a 3.98 GPA, and a 4.01 weighted GPA.

Ultimately, I am eager to find a college that is right for me.  I want to find a college that has a priority on academics, and is competitive.  I am open to all my options, and will continually do what I can to become a better athlete and student.  I just want to make my community and parents proud, and show my talent at the next level.
