During college I feel like the most important experience to gain is learning how to be independent. It's a time where you develop ideas and views that will carry you throughout the rest of your life. I want that time to really be an experience and to grasp all that I can that will shape how I think for the rest of my life.
Athletically I want to pursue perfection in the sport that I choose to play if I am lucky enough to play at the collegiate level. I don't necessarily want to walk into a program that has it made for them. I'm looking for a team that I can help establish as a winner, because I want to leave a legacy as someone who put in the work and got the result.
Academically I'm well above average in most to all areas of school and I know that college is a lot different than high school but I believe the habits I've developed and continue to develop will allow me to have the same success at the collegiate level. I've prepared myself for the hurdle of not having parents and teachers making sure I do all my work and being responsible because I've assumed the responsibility by myself to do all my work and study. My GPA speaks to that dedication to doing what is expected and more at 3.79/4.00 but I also see room for improvement.
I feel what separates me from other candidates is my versatility. I've played both ways almost all this season and changed from a starting receiver to the starting quarterback after an injury to the starter in the first game. I've played corner and strong safety on defense, as well as punt returner, holder and multiple other special teams. As you can see I've done everything on the football field except play lineman which, I feel, gives me an edge on other guys coming out of high school who only know one position.
