Personal Statement
Hello, My name's Brandon Grasha. I attend Morton Senior High School in Hammond Indiana and am a proud Governor. I am the varsity kicker and punter for football, play varsity defense in soccer, run the 800M and 3200M Relay in varsity track, swim the 50 and 100 meters varsity freesyle. After my mother passed away in January of 2013, I dedicated a lot of hard work and determination into everything I do and want to achieve. She has been a giant influence in my life and everything I do, and playing football is one of those. With my dad by my side during every game it gave me the confidence to prove myself to not just my school and my parents, but for me. I hope to make my parents proud and keep on playing football all through college and maybe even the NFL if I prove myself worthy enough. For my senior year in football I will help my team however I can so we can continue our Sectional streak. I am 30/33 Kicks so far and I hope to never miss another one ever again (a few got blocked).
Having participated in many different sports, I am looking to major in Physical Therapy and/or Athletic Training. After seeing many injuries and have been injured myself several times playing sports, I know the feeling of the pain. I'll never be able to thank the therapists and doctors enough that have helped me through the years. I would like to one day be one of the doctors or therapists that help others as they did for me.
