I cannot remember a time when I haven’t been passionate about football. From a very young age I practiced and played with passion. On an evaluation form from a youth football camp a coach described me as “hyper-aggressive”. But, I would call that level of intensity a deep down passion to win in every drill, every play, every game, every time!
As a Christian I believe you can only go as far in football and other pursuits as your character will allow. More then talent it’s the character of a man that will determine his level of success. I like the way T. Alen Armstrong describes this truth: “Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character”. I have been preparing for 11 years to play college football and I believe this is only the beginning.
I also have a passion for the Great Lakes. I have spent a part of every summer enjoying the water in Northern Michigan. I plan to earn a degree in Environmental Science in order to study the sustainability and management of the world's largest supply of surface fresh water.
